Description:General SummaryThe Estimator is responsible for the initial contact with the customer, adjusters and homeowners to successfully sell our services to the customer for mold, fire or biohazard clean-up. This position ensures that projects are completed in a timely manner, on budget and to the highest quality standards bringing the properties to their pre-disaster condition.Primary / Key Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the successful completion of various restoration projects that are caused by fire, smoke, wind, water and mold.Manage assigned employees ensuring tasks are being completed effectively and efficiently.Perform Site inspections.Inspect job site to determine the extent of the damages.Estimate the cost of completing the job.Obtain approvals from customers and obtain signed contacts to schedule and commence work.Successfully sell our services to the customer for mold, fire or biohazard clean-up.Communicate with home & business owners, insurance adjusters and sub-contractors.Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.Education and/or Experience and QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor's DegreeMinimum Experience: One to three (1-3) years of experience and/or training in project management.Valid Driver's LicenseCertification: Mold Certificate, AMRT & WTR and Lead Certificate.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExpected to recognize the influence of beliefs and cultures on behaviors and accept strengths and limitations in othersExpected to exhibit adaptability, flexibility, self-control and maturity in work and behaviorExpected to have excellent decision-making skillsExpected to exhibit calm responsiveness to emergency or stressful situationsExpected to recognize situations that require notification of a managerExpected to exhibit self-motivated initiative to ensure all deadlines are metExpected to positively interact with other employees of all levelsExpected to analyze, interpret and communicate data effectively both verbally and in writingExpected to effectively present information and respond to questions from leadershipExpected to complete assignments with promptness and accuracyExpected to meet deadlines for all tasks assignedExpected to prioritize work assignments and complete tasks in a timely fashionRequirements:Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
